I was very impressed with the Building Process that Payne Family follows. I personally went through the process with one of my Clients who has recently chosen to build there. Payne is very organized, experienced, and thorough. They cover the many options available to you up front as you plan your home, which avoids costly Change Orders during Construction. Their new Color Center has samples of hundreds of choices available for everything except your Flooring (which you select at Ambassador Flooring in Chesterfield). Their experienced Design Manager works closely with you to make your selections. And, since all the samples are in one location, it enables you to compare various colors and textures so you can really visual how your selections will coordinate to achieve YOUR Desired Look.

The Payne Family Construction Manager goes over every aspect of your home plan and selections with you before construction even starts. Next, you do a Pre-drywall walk through. This allows you to double check the floor plan and lighting locations before Drywall is started.

Payne encourages clients to visit their new home often during construction – which is a pleasant departure from contractors who “lock you out” once drywall is up.

The “Finish” walk-through is scheduled a few days before closing. During this detailed meeting you inspect your home for any touch up painting, or minor adjustments needed.

Payne’s service doesn’t stop there! You also do 90 day and 12 month walk-throughs to catch any nail pops, or other minor repairs.
